Do you think life is better with handphones?

Well, do you? I think that yes, it does make life easier and safer too. Like, if you're stuck somewhere in the middle of the night, you can call someone for help.
Most people with phones spend all their time on it. It's as if their phone is their wife/husband. And they are quite rude too. Let's say the person is dining or having a conversation with someone else, then his phone rings. He'll just stop whatever he's doing or saying rather in an abrupt and rude way to answer the call. I find that rude.
And people also prefer to communicate via phones whether by sms or just talking rather than meet face to face. I know sms is cheaper. But having a phone doesn't mean we have to start being rude and all.

I think so too. It is more convenient to have cellphones since it is portable and we can contact the person wherever he is.
However it is also very risky if you are using your cellphone on the road, specially if you have a very nice cellphone model. You might just see yourself a target of snatchers. Though, I only have an average cellphone, I am still wary of using my cellphones while walking on a busy street.

Yeah, with handphones, it's so much easier to communicate. Well, I don't think we should be rude when we receive a call. Say excuse me, that would be so much less rude, don't you think so?

At this time and age of technology, we need to keep up with the fast pace of life, and handphones have proven to be an advantage as well as a necessity. If used well, it would be of great help. The problem is that, as you've mentioned, some people don't use handphones when they're supposed to be properly needed. This is perhaps because with the need comes dependence, and with dependence comes addiction.

I see the benefits and negatives of them. I like them for emergency situations - ie like an accident or someone has taken seriously ill and you need to be contacted rather quickly. However I do think that it has greatly enabled intrusions into peoples personal lives and personal time. I once rang a manager of another department for the company I work for on his mobile as it was listed in his profile, and it turned out he was on holiday in Europe somewhere. I think people should be able to have their personal time, and with mobile technology no matter where a person is they are virtually "always on and working" which I don't really think is great for society or their relative families.
