My dog's official name is Princess, but at various times she has gone by:
Dog, Doggy
Puppy, Puppy Doggy, Princess Puppy
Me-doggy (when I'm in a Karate Kid mood)
P-doggy (Puff Daddy mood)
The Dog formerly known as Princess (Purple rain mood)
Kitten (when I want to piss her off)
Poopy Doggy (comes up a lot when I'm walking her)
The Puppenator (Schwarzenegger mood)
Her Royal Highness
She answers to pretty much anything that includes "Dog", "Puppy" or "Let's Go".

Our oldest cat, Zoe, has morphed through a number of nicknames to eventually being called "bird"!
It all started out with her being call Zoe,Zoe. Somehow my girl, Danielle, started calling her Doe, Doe. Based on the cartoon about the doe doe bird ("last of the doe doe's") I started calling her doe doe bird. This eventually became just bird.
People think it a little strange that we call our cat, bird! But then also based on a cartoon I have seen on TV about "cat-dog" it doesn't seem so totally strange. "Cat-Bird" yeah.

A cat named Bird. I like that!
When we got our first cat, we couldn't come up with a name for awhile. Then my wife called him "Mr Wonderful" in a sarcastic way (I forget the circumstances). So we called him that until she dubbed him Frankie because of his blue eyes (you, know, after Frank Sinatra - Old Blue Eyes). So then his full name was Frankie Wonderful, but of course we called him Frankie, and variations thereof.
The cool thing about the name Frankie is that you can give him seasonal names:
Christmas: Frankincense
Holloween: Frankenstein
4th of July: Franklin

That is cute. I like the seasonal nicks you got going. I am a little surprised you are not get any other posts yet. Maybe if I add the children to the tags...
Oh and BTW Danielle often calls Zoe, "Bird, bird, bird" like she is calling her or something. Sometime she gets called "Zoe-Bird"
On a side note we broke temperature records here today. Eighty degrees! New record for Lincoln, NE!
