Would you report him/her to the police? Would it depend on the severity of the crime?

I don't know if I would report him or not. I guess it would depend on what the crime was and how it effected someone else. That would be a tough thing to do. I would hope mine would not do anything that I would have to report to the police. But as a mother I have learned not to say what my child will or will not do when I a not there.

It's so true that we can't predict what our children will do when we aren't watching! My son has always been a very sweet boy who tried to help who ever he saw that needed help, stood up for kids getting bullied, etc. Then I got called to the school because he was fighting with another boy AND DIDN'T EVEN STOP WHEN THE TEACHERS TRIED TO SEPARATE THE KIDS! I was shocked. He's usually so well behaved. Even strangers remark on his manners & whatnot. But people, even kids, can only be pushed so far before they react.

I have 4 children and I would report them,I would stand behind them and help them but Ive tried to teach them that there are reactions to every choice you make in life no matter if it is good or bad.

I think I would report them to the police. I want my children to learn right from wrong and that they need to follow the rules - even when they don't agree with them. If I didn't report them, then I think it would send a wrong message to them. It would say that it is ok to break the law as long as they didn't get caught. If they don't learn their lesson right away, then it could get more severe. I can't condone breaking the law. Trust me, it would break my heart to do it, but I would have to report.
