"Crab" pasta I made last night

This was super easy, inexpensive and tasted like a nice restaurant meal! 1 lb fake crab meat (you can substitute your own if you have the funds for it) 1 lb frozen broccoli 1 16 oz jar white cream sauce (I used the Ragu kind, but I think it would taste even better if you made your own and used it) 1 small can sliced mushrooms long pasta noodles (I used spaghetti noodles, but I think that it would be even better with fettuccini noodles. I would think that this would work with penne as well.) Steam the broccoli. Toss the steamed broccoli with the cheese sauce and crab meat. Stir in the mushrooms and heat over medium low until warm. Cook noodles as directed and toss with the crab/broccoli mix. Serve warm with bread and salads if desired. Honestly, this was one of the quickest meals I've ever served my family and the all raved about it! Hope you enjoy it!

Thanks for this recipe. I would like to try it. But I don't know where I should buy fake crab meat. Can you tell me its brand name?

Sounds delicious! wish I had seen this post yesterday! I think I will make this one soon. The jar of cream sauce, is it like a regular white sauce (butter, flour, milk mix?) or is it more of an alfredo type sauce? Do you think this would taste good over rice, or is pasta perfect? or maybe over steamed cabbage?
