I've decided that it is time to quit smoking. I have decided to use the nicotine gum. Has anyone ever used the gum or any other smoking cessation products? How have they worked for you? I'd be interested to hear other people's stories and tips for quitting smoking. My quit date is set for next Monday! This will be the first time that I am using a nicotine replacement therapy ( I have quit before in the past without one, but would like to quit for good this time). Is there anyone else out there who is quitting??

Ive read of a gum product that you take everytime you crave for some smoke. i didnt try it because i can quit by my self if i wanted too. ive been smoking since highschool and i would normally consume aroun 10-15 sticks a day. lately ive been smoking less (around 1-2 sticks a day). im not sure why this happened. but maybe my system is preparing my body to quit smoking thoroughly.

Wow...1-2 a day! That's awesome! I quit in the past without using any of the nicotine products but for some reason, this time around seems so much harder. I've been trying to cut down first before I quit completely, although some people advocate just quitting cold turkey. I think it would be much easier to quit if I were only smoking a couple a day. Thanks for your response :)
