yes friends, something that i never took care forand i dotn feel its necessarry
I m living in a university residence hall, and there is a fire alarm in each flat on every floor. And i always feel its useless,as one can easily recognise if fire goes on and there are least chances for fire.
Do u have one in ur building,do u really think its too important ???

Hello! I think you should be thankful that the administration of your residence hall is very concern about your safety. I guess, its also important because you can never can tell when the fire will strike. That is why its important to take precaution such as having a fire alarm. We are not that rich to afford having a fire alarm but if given a chance I would be glad to have one.(",)

I don't see how they can't be important, if you are fast asleep in bed and a fire starts in another room, you arent going to know about it until its really got a hold unless you have a fire alarm/smoke detector. jeez, I see so many people come into hospital hurt and many die because they thought a fire alarm wasn't necessary.

I should say fire alarms are very important as we cannot say when a fire will broke out. I don't have a fire alarm in my house but i think its a necessary part of security in our everyday life. We cannot say what's going on with electricity around our house or in our house as the easiest way to create a fire is by electricity so, i think it is very important to have fire alarms or smoke alarms in our houses for safety security.

I think they are very important, especially if you have children, what if you are sleeping when the fire starts? who knows how long it would be burning before you woke up, an alarm gives you valuable time to get your kids and get out before anyone is harmed by either the fire itself or smoke inhalation.

I haven't got a fire alarm but I have two smoke alarms. I have one upstairs on the landing and one just outside my kitchen door in the hallway. They are both connected to the burglar alarm so if I happen to burn the toast while I am making breakfast, the whole neighbourhood knows about it...lol.

We have them. It's mandatory by law. Yes I think is is very important. if i am awake and the fire starts where i am at i have no need for it. But if it starts in the next door apartment, or when I am asleep, I'll need a fire alarm in order to survive. It is too late when i see or smell the fire. I am on the third floor - would like to know while i still may use the stairs and not have to jump
