I made this poem when I was in college for my secret crush.He was my crush for 8 long years and he didnt know I even existed. I worked part time as a student assistant in our university libarary. I cherished the idea of seeing him there for four years sitting on that same old spot he used to sit everyday. For four years I just watched him to my heart's content. He never knew my name, I know so much about him. I made some research and I guess it was just puppy love. Here's my very immature peom:
I came to see one night,
and saw the chapters of my life.
Stopped at the point of meeting you,
How I felt those feelings new.
I thought it ended there,
but it started a one sided love affair.
You didnt know
I was loving you with my heart's glow.
I wondered why my heart beat for you.
Like a mistle toe
it bursted there
revealing magnificent colors I can only glare.
Minutes seemed eternity with you around
with out you blue skies would abound.
And on a falling star I wished that you,
would somehow feel the way I do.
Woke up with a tear one day,
that I molded hypocrisy with clay,
chose to look your way,
only to chase my blues away.
There's no use dreaming of you,
with my heart aches long overdue,
I know somewhere, someone, somehow is worthy of my love so true
and its NOT YOU!

Beautiful Zelmarq, it's a shame he never knew you existed. Puppy love doesn't usually last for seven years, it must have been a little more.

hello again mipen; Yah what a pity, he doesnt know what he is missing...LOL, well all is well that ends well. Its a more mature puppy love hehehehe... Its all the good memories that I remember about this kind of love. Those wee the best ays of my unrequited love days.

zelmarq, thats a really nice poem. it brought back some of my memories.. the last line .....and its "not you" is the best lyrical arrangement.

I like this! I love poetry and I enjoy reading other people's writings. I think it is awesome that you can express yourself with your writing! Keep it up!! I especially like the end of the poem-it almost tells a story of the beginning of your crush and then your realization at the end...like a poem of personal growth!

Thank you for the compliment, it was a ten year old poem. I made it out of frustration of a love story that alone knew. You know when out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and through this poem I was to let out a feeling I knew ever existed. I have made a poem lately. I have another a continuation of this one. Hope you have a nice day.
