My best friends baby was just diagnosed with down syndrome does anyone have any advice or been in this situation ???

Your friend should be patient to take care of her baby. Science may be able to find some remedies for this defect.
A good friend of mine has a retarded daughter, that is the down syndrome. They are known before are mongoloids. They look similar to each other. The child now 21 years old is pitiful but many times she brings us joy. When she was still a child, she's very graceful in dancing, as if she has no bones, and she could dance to the beat of the music.

My youngest daughter has Down Syndrome. I was "flagged" during pregnancy but further "Level II" testing didn't indicate anything not even the three significant holes in her heart. Down Syndrome was suspected after birth which was good because of her heart condition which may have been overlooked if not for the Down Syndrome.
Tell your friend to look for support groups in her area. Children with Down Syndrome are given so many more opportunities now than in the past.

well that is really bad, i think everyone should be informed about this down syndrome so that all of us will be aware of this kind of illness.
