Parents...Do you and your spouse have life insurance?

Neither of us have life insurance but I am seriously considering getting it now that we have a daughter, I really worry that if something happens to us that she wont have enough money to do the things that we want her to do in her life! Funny how your life changes after you have kids isnt it, I didnt worry about these things before but I do now

My husband has several life insurance especially he got a much better job than mine but for myself, we never get around to it. But nowadays, you really need to have one so the other spouse will not be left holding the bag. I had looked for different policies and just remembered to do follow up now that I read this discussion..lol. This is a great reminder.

Okay I don't have children but I thought I'd answer anyway since we do have life insurance policies. We both have one but his is a bit more than mine. We chose the maximum allowed amount through my hubby's work for the both of us. We have enough to pay off our home, cars, any other bills we might have and still then some. If we have children one day they'll be taken care of as well as ourselves. I think it's good to think ahead. We're still young but we want to be prepared.

we both didnt have life insurance and we dont have plan for it. reason because it is prohibited in our religion we should be have had complete faith in God.. no matter what?? insurance means we are going to change our future or wanna predict it or safe it in any means... where no body knows what future holds for us no matter how many insurances we get... even it would be of million dollars if it would be not in your fate then no body will be benefitted... so th eonly thing should we kept in our self is FAITH in GOD.

Yes me and my hubby both have life insurance as well as small insurance policies on my children. I also have disability, cancer and cronic illness insurance. It gives us peace of mind that if the worst happens the surviving spouse will be able to take care of our family.

We don't have insurance. I hope nothing happens to us until we DO get it. We just can't afford it.

We both do but we are thinking of upping the amount as we did it a number of years ago and it's not really that much. We also have our wills done up so that our kids are taken care of should anything happen to us.

i don't have n not plan to take any. to me, insurance is just kind of a forced savings. unless u dunno where to put ur money for better growth or rich enough to spending in it, insurance is good one. insurance companies make millions for this kind of perceptions but good to know too when somebody gonna help in case anything happen; after long-way claiming procedure...

Trust her to knwo I have life insurance she might bump me off...lol. Just kidding. I have it through my work so I do but she doesnt we never really thought about getting it for her also just more worried about what would happen if something happened to me.

Me and my husband both have life insurance policies.. We have it even before we got married. Actually we joined it as part of our tax saving programs, but will be really useful later.
