what would you consider the best birth control pill in the market?

i just finished a pack of yasmin pill and i am really bothered by the side effects of it. it's the first contraceptive pill that i have taken so far, and i was really worried during the first week when i took it, coz i've been bleeding so heavily for 10 days! i started taking the pill last january 10, and up to today (last night was the last of the 21 pills), i have spots which my OB said is normal. aside from heavy bleeding, i feel so bloated, i began to experience depression that sometimes i just cry for no reason at all. pimples started to appear on my face as well. i plan to switch to another pill but i haven't asked my OB about it yet. besides, i really want to get first hand info from other people, sort of like a second opinion, about the other pills that may have less side effects, yet the efficacy is not sacrificed.

I was on a pill just before I quite to get pregnant...ortho...something and I liked it. I have done the patch...got pregnnat on it, done the depo vera shot....gained 30 lbs on it. After this baby I am going with the IUD.
Good luck. It sounds like the one you are on, may be too much hormones for you.

I have had no problem with the Yasmin Birth control other than the first couple of months when I felt nauseated.I would check with your Gyno and see what other options they have.I have heard they have a new pill out that I think you only have your period every three months or something like that.

wow! i'd like that new pill coz bleeding is really so much of a hassle for me. i develop rashes everytime i have my period and having experienced prolonged menstrual period with yasmin gave me lots of rashes which i really hate. thanks for the tip!
