Are you annoyed when people tell rumors about you?

When I wasin school rumors would bother me really bad but now that I am grown up I really just let people think and say what they want to. I knwo the truth and that is all that matters. When they are ready they will come adn ask me the truth and I will tell them.

I'm not annoyed when people tell rumours about me, especially if they aren't my friends. I simply don't think it's important what people, who don't know you good, tell about you and your life. It's obvious for me that sometimes someone tell something unpleasant about me, and I try to be a person who doesn't tell rumours about anyone:) What you give is what you get. Peaople forget rumours fast, so I don't worry about it at all:) But I agree that sometimes false information may hurt someones feelings and even make some harm. I really don't understand why do gossips do that.

Let them do what they want. Just be yourself, you don't have to prove anything. Reputation is what others say about us but our character should be put above all because it is what we really are.. :)

I feel that people who start rumors regarding something you did or about you in general usually stems from some sort of jealousy. They're jealous that you might be happy and successful for the first time in your entire life and they feel that you don't deserve it. They figure they deserve it more and they'll do whatever they need to.. To get it. Sometimes they are jealous because you are happy & they on the other hand are not. So because these people are so unhappy, they want others around them to be unhappy as well. So they will take it upon themselves to do all in there power to prevent someone from being unhappy. Especially by spreading rumors that are untrue. It's sad that some people are willing to believe whatever they hear before taking in to consideration the facts firstly. It's sad these people who spread rumors have others believing them.. Just goes to show some people out there are just as bad as the people who decide to spread the rumors in the first place.. Especially if they are willing to believe what was said to them about the person.. I think people who start rumors are complete gossip hounds as well. To just stand there and talk on end about people are just trying to get sympathy. They're trying to stir things up and get people to to talk rudely about other people they know. They may also like to see how it effects someone's mental state by repeatedly bugging them about stuff over and over. They may be looking for nothing but a reaction in the first place. Or at least to be noticed.. By them doing this it seems like they feel like they are truly wanted by spreading these rumors to others.. It's quite sad. Rumors can seriously damage a person's feelings and actually start to make them feel terrible about themselves. I know whenever I uncovered a rumor about myself going around one of my old schools it would make me feel absolutely horrible. I don't understand why the majority of school kids find it necessary to create rumors about certain other students. I guess it could stem from a multitude of different places that could cause this sort of behavior. I really detest people who rely on starting rumors to get ahead in life. I think ti is wrong to lie or make up some story about a classmate for whatever reason. Whether it be to make themselves feel better or just to see how long it takes to wear someone out, it is wrong and always will be. I know it annoys me that others spread rumors about me or even gossip about me but.. I think they honestly don't have a life if they are willing to just spend there time spreading rumors about me.. I know that I honestly try not to allow these types of things to get to me.. As in the end they are only making themselves look rather stupid by deciding to do this.. All that matters is how I feel about myself & how the people around me feel about me that truly matters to me in thee end.. What goes around comes around.. And in my opinion people who spread rumors eventually get what they deserve for the rumors they may have spread in the past.. I must say that.. I do think that rumors are personally destructive and negative and I do not appreciate that sort of talk.. But all you can do is keep your head up & realize that there is always going to be someone who spreads rumors about you at some point or another.. It's how you handle situations such as these that matters in the long run.. All you can do is keep your head up high & life your life how you want to.. I agree with you. When someone commits a mistake, it's magnified; and if someone did something good, it won't even be remembered (or as you've said, could still actually turn out bad in the end). When a person is talking ill of you behind your back, despite the fact that you didn't do anything to that person, then it's clear that he/she is envious of you. There's no other explanation why that person would hold some sort of a grudge on you (or a personal vendetta), or would try to bring you down. Don't worry, the tides turn. These kinds of people would also have their own turn in the future.

These type people just cannot see anyone better than them. So whether you do something wrong or good deed,they just hate you because you are better.Either way,they want you to look bad in front of anyone.Hmm.. Just ignore them.Sooner or later people will know their true face.

To be honest....rumors don't really bother me at all. I figure if someon eis picking on me. They are leaving someone else alone. But if the rumors interfer with my kids, my marriage or the law. Than I will confront the person who started the rumors. Otherwise I just let them go.

I usually don't pay attention to these type of people, they make stories of which are not true. I just put in mind that they are just envious of something that I have, their mind are so negative that they do not even look at the good things that I do. They are always looking for some flaws on what we do, on what we say and what we have. So my suggetions is, ignore them. They are just insecure at you.

These kind of people sometimes help you to gain popularity for sometime but most of the time they are a nuisance creators. So, its better we dont have such kind of people. But, we cant help because these kind of people have been living here and will forever continue to live.
