large city or small city to live and work?

hello,everyone.
large city and small city, which is better for life and work? my hometown is a small city in the northeast of China, tith relatively low developing level. maybe the life is quite comfortbal here, we can go to any place with in half an hour, can have lunch at home and the pace of life is slow. the income is lower than large city, but the spend is also lower.
now i am in Shanghai, a large city with higher developing level. life here is quite tired and busy. but the income is higher, and i will get more chance for further development.
then, which one is better, large of small city?

I know that the town lffers so,but the traffic ,the stress is too much,i now prefer the periphery.

I live also in a small country, near a not very big City, na am there well.
I was living before in town, now I have got used and I do not like the town any more.

It depends on what kinds of living style are you looking for, if you prefer a slow pace of living , you should stay in your hometown because your family is there, you can spend more time with your family, if you are away from your home ,you have to be alone, if you cannot bear the fast pace of live, there is no point to live in large city even the income is higher.
