How often do you lie? Do you lie very rarely or frequently? Do you lie that hurts others or your lies are mostly harmless?

I am 48 now. I used to lie when I was a kid or as a child. If I analyse now why I did so, the possible reason what I get is, I wsa either afraid of telling the truth fee;ling that I may get punished because of it. That is fear factor. Other thing what I feel is I was bit insecure and to get rid of 'identity crisis' which I used to suffer from, in school as I was a back bencher I used to lie a bit to get attraction from others.
With the increase of age and change in the life style and most important thing , tranforming myself from a back bencher to a Scholar, has changed my angle of looking at the life. As I started taking interest in studies and started performing exceptionally well in the exams, my moral resposibility also has got incraesed and I have started to respect the morales, codes and conduct to be followed in the society and I have realised the difference between a bad conduct and a good conduct. Here I leart that I should never lie in my life time!
There after till the day I never lie, in the sense I never chaet or deceit others by telling them a lie. This I don't mean day to day small jokes where you cut jokes, some times taking a harmless lie. But Serious lie, no way! How harmful or punishment calling it may be I never lie, I try to analyse why it has happend and what was my role in the incident occured and how could that have been prevented. Instead of lieing I woul prefer to apalogize people and to be happy and keep myself at peace.
This habit of mine makes me sick if some one tries to lie and ytries to chaeat me with lies! I can tolerateanything but definitely not a lie.If one is sincere to himself/herself then I think it is very difficult for one to lie in his life!
