Are you Picky about Pizza?

I am picky about my pizza, I order completly off the menu. When I tell some people what I get they tell me they didn't even now you could order it that way. I don't think it hurts to ask and if they can then why not. I like to go to Papa Murphys, it is a place that you can pick from alot of toppings, even exotic ones like artichoke hearts and they put your toppings on the crust that you want and you take it home and bake it. I get a thin delite crust, with oil and garlic "sauce", for toppings I get artichoke hearts, zucchini, onions, mushrooms, roma tomatoes, black olives, and chicken. It is really really good!
So do you order off the menu or make your own personal creation like me? What is your favorite pizza?

Barbeque chicken pizza from this place down the road from me is all ill eat. it comes with barbeque sauce instead of tomato sauce, red onions, chicken slathered in bbq sauce, and bacon. the bacon is what really sets it apart.

I rarely order the "menu" options for pizza, like Meat Lover's or those type of specialty things. If I order pizza, I usually pick the specific toppings I want, and I have been known to ask for things that aren't specifically on the menu, or ask for extra sauce and such.
My favorite pizza of all time is ham and pineapple, usually on a regular crust, but sometimes I like pan. I'm really not fond of thin crust at all, unless it's with "tostado" or "taco" type pizza.
Right now my big thing is one meat topping (pepperoni or ham or bacon) with green peppers, onions, tomatoes, extra pizza sauce, and usually both mozzarella and cheddar cheeses.

i love pizza, i like the bbq chicken pizzas with mushrooms olives, onion, bacon, capsicum and pineapple. i hate anchovies but i think i would eat most pizza dominos has a chicken one with sundried tomatos and olive tapenede? i dont know what it is but it tastes good, as is. i do always order extra sauce and when we are getting the italian style pizzas we always get extra olive coz they use real ones. my partner always orders a fancy seafood pizza when we sign with gormet pizzas i swear it has eyes on it baby occy, with muscles, anchovies, squid, prawns, scollops and then normal stuff it looks gross im glad he can eat so quick!

I would love to try that chicken with sundried tomatoes and olive tapenede. I wish our dominoes made one like that. It sounds delish!

My favorite from anywhere is Pepperoni and Mushroom. My favorite Pizza Place is Pizza King. I wrote a post on it and I got to say it is the best. I never order the pizza's like they come. I always customize my pizza's but I am allergic to onions, so I have to be careful where I eat out at. I can't eat Papa Murphy's they use onion powder in their sauce and it gives me a reaction. I also have to eat pizza slow, because of that, sometimes these pizza places are sloppy and a lone onion finds its way onto my pizza.

Oh that really sucks that you can't have onions. I would hate to be allergic to onions, I love them. At least you get to eat mushrooms YUM!

I am a bit picky about pizza, but what I like happens to be on the menu. I only like cheese or pepperoni pizza. Or sometimes, I like barbecue chicken pizza, but with NO onions! Papa Murphy's may have some "exotic" toppings on their menu, but I've noticed they don't have sweet corn on the menu. ROTFL! No, I don't like sweet corn on my pizzas! But I have a friend who does. Personally, I think he's weird. LOL I've never heard of sweet corn on pizza!

While I don't like broccoli and it DOES sound a bit weird to have on a pizza, it doesn't sound quite as weird as sweet corn does. LOL Oh, but I once saw a pizza that had... I think it was peanut butter as a topping. Talk about weird!

If you think that is weird you probably think I am too. I like to add broccoli to my frozen cheese pizzas. I don't know how I decided to do this but it is good.

I LOVE pizza hut pizza but will eat it just about any place at all! My favorite pizza is either plain cheese or just cheese & pepporni. I am picky to the point of NOT wanting sausage especially but also mushrooms. But I'd take mushrooms off and still I hate sausage. I dont know why but SOMETHING about sasuage on a pizza makes me want to gag and throw it away :/

Me too! I hate sausage on or in anything. I just don't like the greasyness(is that a word) of it. I also don't eat pepporoni much, for the same reason.

There is only two places in our city that we order pizza from. When I order one I know that I will at least enjoy it so why try some where else. I hate those places that do not even use real cheese. I love lots of cheese and lots of sauce on mine. I am very picky!!!!

Im picky about pizza flavors too since im not really much of a pizza lover so there are only a few specific flavors that i eat- but having the option to choose your own pizza toppings! that would be heaven!, unfortunately here in the philippines there's no pizza shop that offers that kind of service yet. So if in case there will be and i wish there will be! because i would really love it...- my picked pizza flavor will that with lotsa cheese, semi sweet sauce, ham, lotsa bacon, pineapple, pepperoni, mushrooms and black olives, some green pepper will also do.. not too much of it though and no hot sauce please =)

Well I do see your point of artichoke hearts being Italian but in a resturant in the United States it is kind of exotic to get that as a pizza topping. It is not something offered at say Pizza Hut or Dominoes. What is the quattro stagione? What are the ingredients? It sounds interesting.

Mmmmm...pizza. I like thick crust personally. I will eat almost ANYTHING on my pizza. But I refuse to eat olives or anchovies. There is a place in my old town called Pizza Cottage that just has the BEST pizza ever! The Pepperoni and Cheese was so good. And they had a BLT Pizza that was like a sandwhich, it has cheddar cheese, mayo, bacon, lettuce and tomato on it....Its been so long since I had it though, tasty-est pizza you ever had. When I have regular pizza I like to eat the cheese and other toppings off and then dip the crust in garlic butter. Ok, I have to quit now, making myself hungry!!!!

I am not too picky, as long as it doesn't have pepporoni or any meats or chicken. I love veggies and lots of cheese and exotic topings too. I love fried eggplant and sliced poppers on it.

Yes I am picky too. I will eat just a regular cheese pizza or a pepporini pizza but I prefer mine a little different. I like extra sauce on it and light on the cheese. And Papa Johns is my favorite place. I think we've got one of the Papa Murhpys in town but we've never been there. We love to order pizza 'cause we don't want to go out or cook and they deliver :)

I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND!! I too am very picky about pizza!! It has to be thick crust, EXTRA SAUCE, light cheese, and TOONS OF VEGGIES!! My favs are Broccoli, spinach, tomatoe, mushrooms, and bacon!! It is so GOOD!! You mentioned artichoke hearts....THAT WOULD BE GRETA TO!!

i enjoy taco, cheese, mushroom, sasuage, hamburger pizza, just not all the toppings on one pizza. i dont like any others.

I didn't know you could order off the menu like that either lol.
I usually go for Ham and Pineapple lol, (yeah I'm boring I know)
My partner likes any pizza that has pepperoni on it, but hates anything with Pineapple. We both go for thin crust though, neither of us is too fussed about a deep pan base.
We used to order those pizza's where you can have half made with certain ingredients and then the other half with different ingredients. That suited us well enough.
