Is there life after death?

I have been perplexed by this question as I am sure almost every one has thought about this topic. It is believed in some cultures that there are 84,000 births after one gets to be a human. I have read some quite incredible stories over the internet and in magazines about people recalling events, persons and happeinings from a previous life in entirely new locations and in entirely new famlies. I was wondeing what are the experiences of this group.
