While voting in elections do you prefer a candidate who is well versed with the local issues and who can address those issues or do you vote for a candidate who is globally acclaimed and who can address the global issues better? The idea here to find whether you would vote for someone who raises a war against terrorism or someone who proposes to provide jobs to more youth in your area.

I like a candidate who'll look after my safety. I want criminals off the streets, and terrorists taking dirt naps. Once those two criteria are met, then we can focus on getting more jobsto people who want them. Personally, ending the welfare system would be a good thing. Many people choose to stay on welfare, as they make more from that than they would working at McDonalds. I'd vote for someone to raise the war against terrorism, obviously.

That's good to know. BTW, I was not aware the welfare system provides for more than working at McDonalds. Of course, in that case more and more people would want to join the welfare system rather than work for a living. Cheers! Ram

Yeah. My wife was a manager at a book store, and she needed to hire some people. Several applied, then withdrew their applications once they learned that working there would cut into their unemployment benefits. The welfare system needs major overhaul.
