I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. I hope she is at peace now and doesn't feel the pain anymore. You and her family and friends are all in my thoughts and prayers.

She must be tackling with a problem which she fears to reveal to anyone. This is the problem we will have to keep watch over our teenage kids. When they come to a state like this and they are too weak to cope with it. It happened to me once. I considered ending my life because I thought I had no one to turn to during the hours I have been feeling extremely low. I didn't carry it through for fear of God. It just dawned on me that He wanted me to take care of my life rather than end it.
Our teenage kids are in their most tender years. It will always do us good if we approach and talk to them immediately, as soon as, we notice that they seem to be having problems of some sort. I have come to the idea that the ones a girl considers to be insurmountable includes getting pregnant. To be ahead with the circumstances, I told my kids that I wouldn't mind having another child in the family if my daughter gets pregnant but, I will not let her get married just because of it. I love kids, but I can't bear the thought of a son-in-law around when they are much too young yet to have a family of their own. It proved to be effective. They can open up with me almost anything at all from that time on.

Im so very sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what could be so horrible to make a person end their life. Unfortunatly its the friends and family who are left do deal with such grief. Its important for everyone to realize that at least one other person could not imagine life without us. For me, I know that person is my mom, my children and my husband. Nothing anyone can say seems appropriate at a time like this. Just know that you were a good friend and what ever her troubles were, she can now rest in peace.
God bless everyone that loved her !
