Are you a pack rat?

No I not but my husband is. I cant stand it. when he is not home sometimes I get into some of his things and throw things out. A couple of times I have thrown some good things out and he has asked me where they were. He knows I like to throw things out. You should keep things in a certain box for a year and if you dont use anything in that year throw it out.

I admit I am one too! My dad was in the navy for 20 years so we moved alot. 13 schools in 13 years! My mom used to throw stuff out all the time just so it would all fit when it was time to move again. :( After I got married & didn't move so often, I started collecting things to use for my craft projects & photo albums, and other stuff I just couldn't throw out in case it's needed later. I think that comes from grandparents that grew up during the depression. Now that my daughter is grown & moved out on her own, I'm glad I kept alot of it so it could help her save a little money furnishing her new place. I finally got the last of her stuff to her at christmas! Woo Hoo! Now that that's done, I've actually had room in the storage unit to move around & start sorting out what's left. It boggles my mind to see some of the C. R. A. P. I have actually kept all this time. It feels good to lighten the load by really going thru it & getting rid of the obvious junk. We're doing a garage sale in 2 weeks so maybe I can make a little $ from some of the good stuff that's left when I'm done. . . . Happy pack ratting! ;D

I am a pack rat also. I always think we might need things at a later date. If we do, usually we can't find it and end up having to buy it anyway. I have been getting better, but still can't let go of some things.
