Im the same way. I go for everything just about in store brands. BUT mac and cheese is a no no lol. Alyways tastes off, i also get all my canned soups on brand, as the off brand often taste to watered down. But for the most part, everything else is fine coming from store brands. Save a bit of cash for more fun things :)

I don't buy very many packaged foods, but when I do, I usually buy store brand. The only thing I won't buy store brand of is feminine hygene products.

I buy a lot of Target brand products. We have a Super Target near our house and most of their grocery items are way cheaper than the name brand. I won't buy off brand mac and cheese, ravioli, or cherrios. For some reason the off brand cherrios get really soggy and my kids won't eat them.

After having a friend who worked in a factory making a product, I do buy all store brands. Here is why. She worked on the labeling line. The same product was packaged and then labeled with 5-6 different store and brand name labels!! Nine times out of 10, the generic is the same product that you get if you buy name brand. I am sure there are some exceptions...but not always! I did try one store brand green beans one time and it was almost all end pieces WITH THE STEMS!! I won't buy that particular brand again, but have since found another generic that is great!

I used purchase brand name foods only but I shop at ALDI's now and buy all their products. We think they are as good as any brand name products that we were buying and they are alot cheaper. Until now, I refused to purchase store brand food. ALDI has changed my mind

I don't really buy many store brands. Sometimes we buy Great Value from Walmart, but really that's about it.
The main reason we just buy brand names is because we shop at the commissary 95% of the time for groceries. They don't carry many off brands. And we really wouldn't save any money by the time we used gas to get downtown.
I agree on the Mac n cheese not being good from off brands. The only kind we use is Velveeta Shells and Cheese. Velveeta is just about the only kind of sliced cheese we use too, though.

I don't buy name brand anything if I can get the generic brands for cheaper. Why pay more for a pretty package? I just don't see the sense in spending the extra money. :)

There are a lot of things I will buy the store brand or off brand but there are some things I will not settle for anything but the name brand. Cheese, yogurt, Ice Cream--I don't like the taste of these things unless it is a brand name. Mac n Cheese and Ravioli more things that I have to have brand names because the taste is a lot better.

I have found a good store brand mac and cheese, Great Value Thick and Creamy from Walmart. I like it better than Kraft. I buy store brand for almost everything, there are some things that there are no comparison for though (at least none I have found) like:
1. Oreos
2. Velveeta
3. Kraft Singles
4. Feminine Products (I agree on this one)
5. Dixie Paper Plates
6. Aluminum Foil has to be brand name the store brands are too flimsy
7. Dove Chocolate
8. Dryer Sheets (if I buy store brand I use twice as many to get same results so...)
9. Shammpoo
10. Toliet Paper
