yes i do. that is why when i'm sad i think of my husband. when i think of my hubee, i don't feel lonely anymore.

Yes I do believe being happy promotes living longer. Why otherwise would doctors telling patients who are ill to try to stay calm and tell their families to keep them happy and cheerful? This is because being miserable, angry or upset can wreak havoc with your heart and blood pressure (and I'm sure other areas too). Being happy makes you want to live longer anyway, feeling who are depressed tend to have more thoughts of ending their lives, hence cheering them up would mean they have more to look forward to in life and hence live longer :)
