"What You are to Me"
I am a rose, you are my thorns,
clutching to me, protecting me.
I am the sun, you are my rays,
helping me to shine and to be all that I can.
I am a lake, you are my water,
filling me with ideas, dreams and hopes for the future.
I am a tree, you are my leaves,
sharing who and what I am and becoming an important part of my life.
I am a heart, you are my beat,
beating rhythmitically to my happiness, my fears, my sadness, my excitement.
I am me and you are with me,
to share all that I am, to share LIFE, LOVE and HAPPINESS...

That's a beautiful poem, i don't think i will be able to write one like that. Its simple yet it can touch one's heart. It reminds why friendship is so special and the bond that keep two people together. Thanks for sharing.

that's a nice poem you got there.:) i like that. i mean, i believe i can relate to that poem. that's how i feel for my boyfriend. hehehe i like making poems too. there was a time when i was in college when i would always bring a pen and paper handy. i carry them even in the jeepney and tried writing something while sitting and waiting for the jeepney to arrive to it's destination. it is best that we should write what we think right away or we will lose it. i mean, with the work and activities of our mind, it wouldn't be possible for us to remember everything!:) i wasn't able to make a poem lately. i have been busy with work and everything else. but i just wish someday i will be able to get a vacation near the beach and just try to compose a beautiful poem for the important people in my life.:)

i like that poem it reminds me all my friends,,,for me the meaning of that is what ever happen,many problems will come the friendship of us will always be true as long as we are there to help each other....

Hi Lani!
Thats a very beautiful and lovely poem but i really do not understand it much. I only think that the author is the main character because the poem starts with the letter "I". I'm really touched because the author is really emphasizing that he really loves the person in the poem.
