who can be the best frnd mom or dad

I think it all depends on the individual - we all have different relationships with our parents. I adore my dad but he is very stubborn and bad tempered (I'm like that too, ask my husband LOL). But my mother is sweet and calm and chilled out and as I've grown older she has become like my best friend, so much so that my husband is stunned that I can spend so many hours chatting with my mum and having a laugh with her. I enjoy going on holiday with her as we can go shopping together and watch the same type of films and enjoy the same sort of books even. On top of all that I can't remember the last time I argued with my mum. I know many guys who would say they get on better with their dads, they go to football matches with them or watch wrestling matches, or go for a drink to the pub. My husband lost his mother a while back and never really talks of her very fondly whereas his dad lives in India and my husband calls him from London at least 3 times a week and they chat for ages on the phone. So I can't honestly say people get on better with their mum or dad, it all depends on the individual relationships and how your parents treated you when you were growing up :)
