guys, its very upsetting to hear the decision of the CGFNS regarding the retake of june board passers for nursing board exam. do u really think nurses should retake and find their luck in the States? are there any ways about it? but since the decision is already final, i guess whats the concern is whether to take the retake or not since it is a voluntary act though.

It is really sad that the June nursing board exam passers have to deal with this kind of problem. My sister is one of the nurses who took and passed the exam last June. And last month, she went to Hong Kong to take the NCLEX. She passed it with flying colors. She is already working in one of the best hospitals in Manila. And now this problem. Though I am sure that she will pass the local licensure exam again when she retakes it, I still feel bad for her because she is one of the victims of the corrupt officials of our Board of Nursing. And her reputation as a nurse, even before she could build it, has already been tarnished.

Well like you have said that the decision is final, i think we should just retake, even if in my heart i know NOT EVERYONE deserves that retake, i just hope its free. I was one of the June 2006 board passers and i really find it unfair because With all my heart i know I DID NOT CHEAT and there was no leakage from the review center which i studied at. Unfortunately, i have no power over this and so are the rest of the passers so we have no choice but to do their will, since we were all aiming for greener pastures, sure which is still really unfair... Where is justice?

That is how politics work in our country. You do not have a choice but to retake but if you retake still the stigma of the scandal is already embeded to all our nurses specially to the eyes of foreign employers...

It is somewhat upsetting but we could not do something out of it besides those nurses could not even be employed in US so rather than wait for approval why not do some retake. I think board exam in Philippines has some anomaly really but those exams were not that sensationalized and not published. I wonder why Philippine's media make a great deal of issue out of it , I think it was really upsetting for those who had passed the exam.

yeah. i agree with you. the burden is not actually on the people arguing whether to have a retake or not.. but its on the nurses who will take the exam. just hoping many will still pass. thanks for the comment.
