Diffrent website has diffrent requirements such either your website is shoping oriented or mail oriented i m really confused....

Needs to be original, and have content that interests people. The site needs to have its own design and not a free template, maybe use animation or flash to make it more exciting.
If you are talking about the hosting. I would recommend a unix server with a decent amount of bandwidth, and disk space. This all depends on the type of website you are making? Is it a blog or small business...
Things I dislike in webpages are those that have annoying mouse cursors or any other silly DHTML objects.
If you are going to write it your self, I would code in PHP (but if it is a static webpage than HTML). I believe PHP is the easiest language to learn (besides HTML), perl and asp are too complicated for my liking.

yea i'm hosting it up at logicalhost.com.Its a nice website.They offer a decent amount of space and bandwidth.I'm coding it by myself and i am using php for server side scripting and mysql as the backend.
Was actually wondering what service might attract people to it.
