Genetics I guess, My sons do not look that diffrent from each other but they do have a few facial features that set them apart. They differ more in their personality and intrest. One is more into science and mechanical things while the other is more into arts and music.

You will wonder considering that they come one set of parents who brought them up in the same way since birth. It is because, every one of us has a different personality. Look at your children they have different names, different faces, different talents, different birthdays, different classmates, different teachers, different likes and dislikes, different favorites and different oulooks in life. That should be explanation enough why. Us parents would like to have kids who will be easy for us to deal with, but no we don't. This is where the need to discipline each one of them comes in. So mom and dad, be firm but loving, strict but understanding, strong but giving, and be everything else your child needs.

I feel our children are all different as a result of our personalities being a result of a combination of our primary socialisation inside the family and our social interaction outside of the family. Although the primary socialisation may well be identicle, the interaction outside the family will be unique and the personality that results will be coresspondingly different blessed be

You were wise in that you gifted them with the ability to become whatever it was that they were meant to. I am sure that they are fascinating and well worth the effort you put into them to give them the skills to live in this life. I commend you on a job well done. Keep up the good work, you will get to be grandma someday. That is even more fun and rewarding.

I have 2 daughters and they are as different as night and day. Each people no matter they came from the same set of parents will always have a distinct differencs in their behaviors. There may be some similarities in their gestures, actions, movements and habits they acquired from their parents.

Genetics? Or perhaps a combination of genetics and birth order and environmental influences... presumably you've gotten older & wiser with each one - that might have something to do with it!

I think I would be more concerned if it did not happen. After all, isn't it nice having 4 distinct individuals that you brought into the world. I imagine they all have some wonderful virtues and it just gives the family variety and diversity. I have two brothers and we are all very different from each other. I think it is the way it was intended to be...in our case it allows my mom to be annoyed with a different one of us from time to time...LOL
