I am about 8 weeks pregnant and go and see my doc on friday but I have a question. I keep getting bad cramps throughout the day. It doesn't matter what I am doing or what I eat. I can't pinpoint any exact reason why I get them. I have never had them before and I have a 2yr old and a 10 month old so I remember what it was like with them still. It is starting to bug me because sometimes they hurt. I was wondering if anyone has any advice for me. I ended up in the er because I was spotting but my cervix was closed and the baby's heart beat was at 168. Any help or advice would be great! Thank you in advance!

I had cramping with all three of my pregnancies during the first trimester. I think it's pretty common, though I'm glad you had it checked out. I swore each time that I was miscarrying because it could be so intense. I was told it was just from my uterus expanding.
Congratulations on #3!

i had really bad cramps when i was about 6 weeks and they lasted till i was probably close to 12 or 13 weeks. they weren't all the time, or constant. but it worried me. i never ended up going to the doctors till i was 15 weeks. everything was fine with me. i never bled tho.. i think its common for bleeding in your first trimester, just make sure its a brown blood rather then a bright pink blood.

I too am pregnant with #3. I have a 17 month old & a 7 month old. I have had similar pains & my OB told me it could just be my body is more "aware" of the streaching pain with this being my third baby.
Hope all goes well for you. :)

Well I ended up in the ER ( I think that I mentioned that already) and they did an ultrasound. My baby is the size of a peanut and has either 3 limb buds or 2 limb buds and the cord was the other one that we saw. Found out when I went to my dr. yesterday that I have placenta previa and that has been the cause of the cramps and the bleeding. Just thought that I would let everyone know what was going on. Thank you for all of the responses. I will keep posting updates.

Well, it could be your body acting to the fact that around this time you might have a had your period. Even without bleeding you can still get cramps around that time of month. I spotted in the begining of my 2nd pregnancy and even after that stopped i still got cramps for the next two months. They weren't all the time but they were around that time. It also could be a side affect to your morning sickness if your getting any yet. I know I had them then to. I hope this could help you some. Happy Mylotting!!!
