i've been playing runescape for 2 to 2 and a half years now, i have been a member for most of that time, i became a member because i just couldn't live with the tiny ammount of bank space that free to play has.
if you have become a member, why?

I played RS for about 4 years. Spent mostly on free servers, just because I could not find a way to convince my parents to pay for my membership. My stats are quite low because I either go away or I just do not feel like playing. I only get to become a member this year, when I found out how to make money online.

i have a few friends in the same position as you, when i am chatting to people from the forum i use, they often say that the would love to be members, but their parents wont pay for it, and that's fair enough.

I guess it is time to tell them to find ways to make money online and stop asking jagex to make members features free for them.

when i used to play i became a member because runescape non member is practiaclly fisnished after you have round 70 combat, 43prayer, what fishing level you need to fish swordfish, what ever cooking level to cook swordfish, 60 woodcutting, any mining and smithing.
also, if you are a pure range...non member rangers are extremely weak compard to member rangers sine the best arrow is addy and you can only wear green dragonhide and maple bows. for magers the spells are really limited to around 60 i thnk. or 55 right after high alchemy. anything after that are members only spells =(.
and melee, the best monter for all 70+ combat is like lesser demons...which you could probably kill within like 10hits. AND ITS SO CROWDED.
i became a member because of the skills, mostly for the new skils like fletching and stuff and membership can greatly improve normal skills such as runecrafting.

I'm not a member but I just like to explore the world of runescape and unravel its mysteries.

ive been a member for about 1 yr. i thnk i became a member because i got bored of doing all the non member stuff, and i got annoyed by all the nooby beggers asking for money.

beggars do my head in a bit lol, that is why i try not to go into non members on my members account, i get left alone pretty much if i go on one of my other accounts, as they are low lvl and not rich haha!

I became a member around 7 months ago, because of how much larger the members area was, and the more bank space. I think that the becoming a member was the best decision I have made in runescape.

I got sick of the autotypers, autominers, and people who just plain break the rules because they don't have to worry about it money wise.
