are you a movie geek?

Yes I would have to say that I am indeed a movie geek! . . I know that my other half & me usually try to watch a movie once or twice a week. There was a time though where we were watching a movie or two every night. Television had become a complete boring waste land for us & we we're looking for something to take it's place. We began going to a video store that was a good distance bike ride away but that was beside the point. We had found this place completely by accident and decided to start renting from it. We looked up a good amount of movies on the internet that we wanted to see. We became almost weekly renters from this one store. There were old out of print movies, rare finds and movies we could not find at the bigger chain stores as well. We were frequent renters of all of the above types of films until we had basically exhausted all the movies in there we had wanted to see from that one store. It also was one of the few places to rent a movie where you'd get a good deal for your money. For the longest time they had a deal where if you rented two movies from the gallery section.. You'd receive a second one free. It was nice to have this deal because we'd get a movie for free. So if we didn't like it.. It wasn't like we we're wasting a ton of money to watch this movie that we had decided to rent. It was a nice little deal for us as we love renting movies so much! There's movies that I've collected over the years that I do love watching over and over and I usually do when there isn't anything else on television. I've got my favorite movies from the 80s and 90s in there as well and all the horror movies I like too. I have a tendency to watch certain movies a lot and even put them on as background noise from time to time. What can I say? I love my movies. When it comes to picking out a movie from our movie catalog it depends on how we feel that night as to which flick we will watch. I know whichever one we watch, it will be one we can sit there and enjoy every time. We like all types of movies, from comedies to dramas and superhero movies. Each one we like for their distinctive characters and interesting storylines. Most of all though.. I love watching old movies from my childhood. And I also love introducing my other half to some of my favorite movies.. As he does the same to me as well in return.. Half of my movie collection involves movies from my childhood.. So being able to introduce my other half to these movies is quite exciting for me.. As I love to see his reaction after watching these movies & to see if he enjoys them just as much as I do.. In conclusion, I guess I'd have to consider myself & my other half both movie geeks because that's one of our favorite things to do on the weekends. Or even when he gets home from work each night. If it's one thing I enjoy it's watching a good movie with my other half or at least introducing him to new movies that he hasn't seen before! As I love when he does the same to me in return! . . I try to catch movies that fit in the genres I like. Sometimes I go for months without watching a movie. Other times, I catch a few in a month. I don't like watching anything more than once - no matter how good. Unless there is a long enough period in between. :P
