PS3 Exspensive or not

The long awaited PS3 is finaly about to touch down on british soil in the next couple of weeks and I for one will almost certainly be purchasing one! The thing I cant understand is why they have put so much exspensive equipment into this little machine. I know that it is all to do with who,s is the most powerfull and which has the best graphics but the type of product that they are selling is primarily aimed at the younger generation and to be honest with you,how many of us parents out their can actualy afford to buy one for our kids. I have saved for mine for months and am still £150 short. I have had to go with out for months and months just so i can buy this. What do you think SONY should do about this ?
