Yup, I knit a lot! I just finished a scarf tonight that is knit to look like a bunch of diamonds connected. It came out pretty well. I'm happy with it.
Now that that's finished, I just cast on for a little kids poncho. I hope to knit the poncho (this will be my first poncho), and then sew on a felted flower that I made previously. Hopefully it will come out as cute in person as it is in my head right now :-)

I used to do quite a lot of knitting but the price of wool went up so much and the shop prices for sweaters went down, that it was hardly worth taking the time to knit things. I do other crafts now.
My Mum used to knit and crochet bed covers for the refugees. She made them either of several different, brightly-coloured squares, or the crocheted ones had daisies in the middle of each in a co-ordinating colour. She used to back the crocheted ones. Now, unfortunately, she has arthritis and can't do them any more but she was forever knitting, whilst watching the television, travelling on the bus... everywhere. lol.
Brightest Blessings.

I am knitting Christmas presents - last year, I left it to the last minute, so this year, I am trying to do them farther in advance.

Last night I learned how to bind off and finished my very first knitting project, a super long rainbow coloured scarf! I'm rather proud of myself, I taught myself how to knit back in April and it's taken me until now to finish it, I kept putting it away and forgetting about it for months! Now the exciting part, I get to pick a pattern for my second scarf!

Oh definately, I'm so proud! Even though I knit it in stockinette and it's all rolly now, it still looks so cute!

I'm working on a pink wig that is really pretty horrific - but a friend saw it on Knitty.com and wanted it for her 15-year-old daughter. She doesn't knit, so I volunteered.
I really need to start on a baby hat and booties for a friend's baby, and by the time those are finished, another friend should know what she's having so I can start on something for HER.
Whew! I'm tired just thinking about it. It seems like I have a never-ending "to knit" list!

I am in the middle of many (perhaps too many?) projects:
right-hand arm warmer for me (already finished the left-hand one)
shawl for my mum
double-knit star scarf for my sister
a sweater for me (of course, it'll be the middle of a heatwave when I finish it, but at least I'll have something warm for the winter!)
I'm also thinking of whipping up a baby hat with bunny ears for an easter gift for my friend's baby, but I think I may just wait until next easter. (The wee one is only 4 months--he might appreciate it more when he's a bit older.)

I am working on some felted bags. I have many friends who like bags for a variety of different reasons. I will probably give them all as gifts. I am having a lot of fun working on them.
