Paying someone to spank your children?

The other day while driving I heard a story on a radio station. This mom of 2 small children ages 4 and 6 wanted help hiring someone to spank her children for her! The mom and her husband believe in spanking but didn't want to do it themselves because they felt quilty. So she came up with this idea that she could hire someone to step in and take over the spanking when needed. I thought this was insane. I feel her children will be in therapy for years if she actually finds someone to spank her children. The kids would probably freak out if they saw the spanker at the mall, grocery store, etc. I think it would cause more problems with the children, they would probably wonder why don't my parents protect me, why do they allow some stranger to hit me? Does anyone else have any opinions on this topic? This just seems crazy to me and I don't understand why someone would think this is ok!

That is absolutely INSANE!! I agree that the children would probably have long term issues if something like this were actually allowed to happen. I firmly believe that disciplining a child is a PARENT'S job. If you are not comfortable spanking your child yourself, then find another means of discipline.

Have someone come in and spank your children for you. That is insane. I had not heard that one before. If a parent is guilty to spank a child and they are doing it for the right reason why would a parent feel guilty anyway. You have to do what is right for the child. My self personally I think there is a better way to discipline your child anyway. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.
