What would Heaven or Hell be like?

I believe that in Heaven we won't just be sitting on clouds playing a harp. That seems to be such a mundane thing to be doing for eternity. And again, I don't think that those who go to Hell will be tormented for eternity. A loving God in my mind just would not permit endless persecution. What do you think it will be like in Heaven or Hell?

Heaven would be overwhelming love. So warm and bright like brilliant rays of sunshine. Hell would be cold and dark without the love and warmth.

I don't think anything will be mudane in heaven. I believe boredom and restlessness are features of our human state. Heaven will be exciting always, without fault, we will no longer have weakness of faith, no more thoughts of sinful desires because we will be constantly filled with love, excitement and joy. As far as endless persecution is concerned, I think that is because we do not understand eternity, in fact we do not even contemplate exactly what time itself is. Time is a measurement of movement, it cannot be measured withtout the rotation of the earth, the movement of the stars and the sun, time is an inseperable part of this physical world. Think then upon this, in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, before the creation of these things by which we measure time, time did not exist. God lives in the past, present, and future. Time is a hallway full of doors, and one door leads to eternal rest, (or torment). once everyone has walked that hallway and have entered a door, the hallway will no longer exist, the choices have been made. I believe that hell and torment are in reality our knowledge of our dreadful state and our inability to save ourselves. We see in the cases of even the greatest prophets when they come into the presence of God, even them, Gods' appointed men, cannot stand in His presence because of His pure Holiness and their human state. When Isaiah came into the inner sanctum He fell to the floor and said, "woe is me, for I am undone". He really felt the dissimination of his being because in the presence of God, the reality of his sinful nature is revealed, (in his case it was unclean lips), and he realized to a degree we do not understand. Once we have passed from this life and this Heaven and Hell have passed away, there will be no more movement, nor will there be time or chance to change that nature which we contain in this body. Notice also the rich man and Lazarus, the rich man is begging for Lazarus to bring a drop of water, (refreshment from his sin), to touch it to his lips. The Rich man does not beg for mercy, nor does he beg for forgiveness. He is aware of his state, he knows why he is there, and he makes no amends. This is the nature of the human, that is why Jesus said unless you are born of the spirit. This birth is acknowledgement of our condition and the need to be born into a new life of the spirit, a life beyond our physical state. As Paul said in Romans, now that I have been changed, it is not I that sin, but the flesh that sins. Almost everyone has experienced saying or doing something in the presence of someone who may have said a few simple words that made us ashamed of our actions or words, because their simple words shined a light into our hearts and exposed to us. If a mere mortal man can cause us to want to hide our faces in shame, how much more our Father in Heaven whose purity is infinite. That is the way I see it, and I pray continually for those I know that don't understand why this is such an important thing, I have met many non believers and within them I see beautiful, wonderful, and intelligent people and I pray that they come to realize the failure of the human state and the need for spiritual rebirth.

I picture heaven as a beautiful, peaceful place. Flowers, trees, stream and lots of sunshine. I don't know if Heaven is anything like this but its a picture I have in my mind. I think Hell is a place of eternal torment.

I always thought that in Heaven you get to do what you always wanted to do. Write a book, play a sport, talk to a famous p[erson who is in Heaven.... In Hell you are forced to do the one thing you hate over and over and over again.

I think in Hell, you will be all alone. That's it. Emptyness. No people. No sights or sounds. Nothing. I think in Heaven, everyone and everything you love will be waiting for you there. I think all my dogs are going to be there when i get there, and all the people I ever loved, and we'll be happy together.

I believe in heaven everyone will be happy and there will be no illnesses and in hell it will be torment forever.
