I am actually close to both. I could play jokes on them and that's what I totally love. Whenever I have problems at school, work, friends or even money...lol
I feel that there's nothing wrong if you are a guy and you're much close to your mom, my brother is too. At least when you have a girlfriend you would know how to deal with them. since women change their minds very often. we are like weather!

I think that can usually be the case, when you're a guy you're closer to your mom especially when you have a tough dad and vice versa.
Me and my mom, we argue a lot. Not really a whole mess but even the small things. For me I am neither close to anyone. I can talk to my mom about some things and sometimes I can talk to my dad about some things. When I was growing up and I'd have heartaches because of guys, I can talk to my mom. When i have trouble in school I can talk to my dad. THings like that. Also my siblings feel the same way.

Well, growing up I always felt closer to my dad. He was easier to approach and was soft mannered most of the time when it came to me and my siblings except if we really did something wrong. But he was a really cool dude and really laid back.
He has passed away (about 10 yrs now) but I miss him terribly.
I love my mom and all, but I really felt closer to my dad.

I am closer to my mother as well. I think this can be explained clearly using the Freudian concept. You may read the work of Sigmund Freud as he provided some explanation why men are closer to their mothers, not to their fathers. This is also true with women. They are closer to their fathers, not to their mothers. However, there is always an exception to the rule. The Fruedian concept is not absolute.

This is a tough question. Though one may think I am closer to my mom because I talk to her the most on the phone, I am also close to my dad. Him and I e-mail each other a lot. My mom wishes she could figure out the internet but really hasn't yet, lol. But in the end it probably is my mom, but pretty close.
