I think that an individual has the right to choose when they are going to die. Why should anyone else - especially any government be able to make that choice for you? And when we have a beloved pet, if it is suffering, we end it's suffering through euthanasia - so why should a human who is suffering and in pain, not be allowed to choose euthanasia for themself?

Doctors in the Netherlands are allowed to help patients who choose to die .Ending a person life in this way is called euthanasia However ,a new law places strict controls on that Both the patient and the doctor take part in the making of the decision patients must have a terrible illness with no chance of cure

Just like what you said, life is important and we are indeed lucky to experienced life. I have no against on euthanasia and the people who commited it before. I just don't have the guts to commit mercy killing. My conscience will probably haunt me if do so. The fear of losing someone you love is already a hard thing to accept. How much more if you know that you are the one that kill your love one? It takes courage to do euthanasia. It also takes unbearable decision to fight your conscience. These things which I lack will definitely prevent me from commiting mercy killing.

There has been a great deal of debate on this subject lately and court cases too. In all honesty I feel that if I were in such a state that I felt I didn't want to continue living, and I was mentally capable of making such a decision, I would rather end it all than see my family and friends suffering along with me. If it was a member of my family, and they asked me to help them to end their suffering, I would have to say that I feel then they have the right to chose.

The problem is not your English, but the fact that you are Italian :) I'm joking, but it's so sad that a secular country as Italia has to obey to the Vatican precepts. We can't have a good law about euthanasia because "God doesn't want", it's really incredible and frustrating. I think that the life belongs only to people, and so only people can decide what to do with their life. Instead the pope, the priests and the bishops pretend to decide for us. This is the most disgusting thing in Italia: the fact that our state must obey to a foreign state.

The question of euthanasia arises as a result of the great advances in the science of medicine.it make that possible to sustain the lives of both the unconscious patients.
