fighting in front of the kids

do you fight with your partner in front of your kids?how do kids react to this?what would be the effect of this matter to the kids?
my cousin and her wife fight in front of there kids and the kids reacts by crying and the kids adopted the words there parents was saying as they fight in front of them, those words that are not suitable for kids they are using bad words and there kids gets mad easy if some kids fight with him.it has really a bad effect for the kids.

Fighting? You mean, hurting each other? I am not married yet but if given a chance to have a wife... I'll never fight against her, I mean, it is really not right. Parents will be a role model at home. I still believe the saying the goes "what you sow is what you reap". If you let your kids see you fighting, you'll be expecting the same thing from them.

Of late yes my ex and I fight alot infront of our daughter, I regret this, but as of the end of today she will no longer live at the house so I think it will drop off alot. I do remember my parents fighting alot when I was a kid before they divorced, and like Karen and the other poster I felt pretty bad and insecure about it.

It can be very frightening for kids to hear their parent in arguments, kids parents are their rock, their comfort, their safe house, I am going by when I was a kid I remember my parents having an argument with my uncle, this is a long time ago and I was very young but I can still feel the fear, how insecure I felt, and it is one of the few memories I have that far back....kids need to have that feeling of safety I think.

well,yes,wife and husband sure have something to quarrel about sometimes.but we should try our best to not let the kids know,sometimes i quarrel with my husband before my kid,and i regret after the quarrel.so i have decided to not do so in front of my kid,i will try my best to give him a happy childhood.
