I need help with my Palm Wireless Keyboard

A friend just sent me a Palm TX Wireless Keyboard Pack as a present. I tried to follow all the directions for installation and can not get the keyboard to work. The Palm works but when I try to use the keyboard nothing happens. I have been to the Palm internet site, tried trouble shooting and I still can't figure it out. I admit that I am not very good with electronic things but I thought I should be able to figure this out. Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions on how to get help?
