Always get quests that are clustered onto one area. Also, while your on the area, try to clear it out of creeps, it's always extra xp. Lastly, always rest in an inn before you log out. Rested xp is always an advantage.

Well, some tips that I would give you, simply from all my time in the world would be:
- Remember early on that handing in quests will tend to give more xp than grinding.
- Try and collect as many quests as possible, then organise yourself so you are doing as many in the same area or involving the same monsters as possible, basically keep your running around time to a minimum!
- Find the Cloth Quartermasters in each city, there is some XP there IIRC.
- Use the Auction House, both to make money and to get decent gear to increase your damage and thus kill faster!
Hope that helps. Good hunting!

In an area, take all quests available, and go at them like crazy. Try not to go between different areas, and fight all monsters in your way for max xp. I find that doing a dungeon run each couple of levels boosts mp xp through the roof. :) Good luck.
