What is a Good Idea?

Has anyone had a goood idea recently and if you have, how do you know? We live in a blue sky, out of the box world where every new idea seems to be a version of an old idea. How do you think, do you sit in a circle wearing one of your six hats? Do you brain storm? What way do you think? Do you mind map. How do you evaluate an idea, weighted matrix or SWOT, better still do you use your gut? If your good idea was good did other people belive you has it gone forward and become something rather than just an idea?
