Double Entries?

I have seen this on a few postings. It has not happened to me but I was kind of wondering why there was so many duplicate discussions. Today was the first time I noticed it maybe because I saw it happen more then one time. I just kind of chocked it up to people not knowing what they were doing.

oh, i had the same problems at those days. ites a worser thing to me, a enligh and typimg not skilled. aometimes there were not only 2 times to submitted and post. i senden your 2 emails on 3 March, did you receive it, Grandpa Bob?

Yes the emails are a problem sometimes as I have replied to some of my discussions long before i get an email saying a friend has replied to mine. And yes they do seem to come in one go instead of as they have just been commented on so as to spread them evenly.

i have had a little of the double entry problem. It usually happens when i don't think a post has gone through because of some interruption ont he internet. i look and see the response is not there, so i re-type it. Sometimes i will see the original post adfter posting the second one.

It is called, Oops. I have done it too. I think it can happen to everyone. sometimes my computer gets stuck, and i hit the thing again, and then it comes out twice. I try to be more patient. It still can happen though

i have nto had such a problem. btu i have had problems of a discussion being posted twice. then you ahev no way of deletign the thigns you have written, neither the comments nor the discussions. that i feel is a major drawback and a handicap. i een made a mistake of uploading a wrong photograph but had no way of mending the error, you feel like a fool then...

i have seen many post in mylot are just repeated for the sake of it only for making money so mylot admin must take of such kind of users

it happens to me also, i think it is from the connection problem when you think that you miss to post it then you'll post again but later it come oiut and you will have two entries, am i correct?i just guess....

I have a few double entries and wish there was a delete option to fix the issue myself

Double posting can happen when you press the button several times, or if you refresh the page before it send your post. When you press on the "Post response" button, you must wait several seconds, and then you will see your response.

I've quite often had the situation where my posts appear twice, but it's realy not a problem, as MyLot delete them pretty quickly! In my case I know it's because my server is quite slow, and sometimes I hit the button twice because I think the first attempt just hasn't got through. I only had the email thing once though, and that was when there was a general fault and it was happening to everyone. Have a good day!

I also had the same problem but i think that mylot people delete one entry if you by mistake make more then one entry same as before.

I'd be thinking it's just a mylot glitch - have you emailed them to let them know it's happening?? I personally haven't had it happen to me yet *fingers crossed* but I've seen a few responses to discussions that I've started that are doubled up but as they are typed exactly the same way and majority are under 500 posts so they can't copy and paste I know that it's not just an exercise to try and boost their numbers. I haven't had any problems receiving emails but I have heard that if you are using a free client [yahoo, gmail, hotmail etc] to receive your emails there may be a delay.

I double commented once and yesterday when I was posting a discussion it didn't look like the first one went thru so I retyped it and added an image and when I went to the discussion page it was there twice! As far as the email goes do you leave your email browser open while brining up another page for mylot? That's what I do and if the email broswer is open the new emails won't show up until you refresh the broswer of resign in to your email. Try refreshing....Thanks grandpa bob!

Yes its a glinch in mylot and Im quite sick of it. Its been 4 days now for me not getting any of my emails and I have message them several times. They dont even get back to me. Dont you think they should let us know when they are having a problem. I mean we are the people who are making them money without us there wouldnt be no mylot.

I have had this problem many many times. It is annoying but theres not much you can do about it. Simmer down life will be okay i promise you will survive this drama.

I have had this happen before. One of my first discussions posted twice and it is frustrating looking at them still to this day. I sometimes know why it has doubled up and other times have no idea! Do not fret. Mylot knows this happens and I have never heard of anyone being warned about this.

That happened to me a couple of times. Also I have been receiving blank messages from a few people!

This has happened to me once. When i went to preview my response and then made corrections, and then posted it, i found that it posted twice?!? not sure how but ?? mylot glitch i think or it could be just me LOL

I'm new but I have noticed a few duplicate discussions and replies. Sometimes if I reload the page the duplicates disappear. Not sure what is going on there!
