Having pictures done too often?

With my first baby I took them at newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 12 months. Then I quit because it was getting costly so far with my second we had them done at 2 months. We do take a lot with our own camera.

I take my son to a studio about every 3-6 months, But ive also been trained as a studio photographer and know their tricks, so i do them myself at home all the time. Ill set up my own backgrounds and add in his fav toys for props. I can print them just as nice and do all the editing they do plus more. I take a bunch of pictures every day, and at least once a week i do a massive picture taking around my home. To her its not excessive, shes remembering every month of her daughters life. Things that she will forget later on. There was a woman who came into the studio every month, i did her pictures, her and her daughter. Some people want to and like to do it like that.

DS is almost 15 months and we've had his done professionally once, at age 4.5 months. I've taken TONS of pictures myself that I have on CD, and I print those out and send to grandparents, etc. I'd love to take him in more often, but like you said, it's super expensive. I think it's easier to do pictures of any sort more often with really little ones though. Most kids look about the same at 3 as they do at 3.5. But when they're little, they change every month. I'd wonder what they do with all those pictures of your niece. They must have tons!

My mom do tones of pictures with me wen i was a child and now is great to see those pictures becose that time is never come back and pictures is a good method to freez thje time!
