How do you feel about mandatory minimums and marijuana!!?

The government seems to have posed this mandatory minimum law in most states!!! 1 lb of weed is considered a felony. In most states if you get 2 felonies you have a mandatory minimum of a 10 year sentence!! 2 getting caught with 1 pound twice is 2 felonies!! AND A MANDATORY MINIMUM OF 10 YEARS!!!
Do you feel that this should not be the case for weed...I mean 10 years for weed...but a child molester or a wife beater get a slap on the wrists!!
I think mandatory minimums are GREAT FOR REPEAT VIOLENT OFFENDERS!!
