After i pay off the 15 grand i have in debt, i would put the rest into my property. I would bulldoze the house i have on it. Build a big house with enough room, furnish the whole house, Put a lawn in, i have 3 acres, only 1 total dosent have trees on it, and i want some lawn! Put in a massive garden with a green house. THEN hire a maid to help with the cleaning and someone to help with the garden as my child is 2 and im pregnant lol.
Maybe get myself, the husband and my kids some nice clothes hehe.

Doesn't a maid sound wonderful? Maybe you should add a chef, a butler, and personal shopper. You know, for those days you just don't want to go shopping for clothes, diapers, or food. Then, you could spend more time with the family!

I would make sure myself and the rest of my family was financially secure. I'd let my parents have a second home in California to go to since half of my family lives in Minnesota while my sister's moved to California. That way we would all have a place there.
I would definitely have a nice home and all the latest of electronics, such as a huge entertainment / theater room. Since right now my computer sucks I'd love to have a nicer computer, probably multiple.
I'm not big on caring about my car, but I'd probably end up getting one of those too.
So I'd probably save some just in case, but I always wanted to direct a movie. I probably would spend a lot of my money in fullfilling that dream and maybe I'll make a return on it, but maybe not. :D
I'd love to figure out a way to add more peace on earth with having lots of money, but i'm not sure what I'd do. Maybe I'd try to give more money to schools or something and perhaps help kids with illnesses or that are either orphans or in battered homes. But I would love to do something with helping abandoned animals or saving endangered species. Right now my kitty is meowing at a bug on the ceiling. I think they little cuties are worth protecting.

Juliemarie84,
I am so glad you included the children and animals that are in need in this world. You are absolutely right, they are worth protecting. Especially since they cannot protect themselves.
Maybe someday, even without the money, you will be able to direct that movie you've been wanting to direct, and be able to do all the things you want with the millions you'll make off of it!

If ever I win a large amount of money, what I would first do is buy a vacation house somewhere in the country for my parents where they can relax and enjoy their retirement. It's my own little way of thanking them for all the things that they have done for me.
Next is I would alot a certain amount of the money to pay for the schooling of my daugther (and my future kids) from Kinder to college.
Then I would buy my dream house and the dream car of my husband. Then I would travel with my whole family to Europe because this has been my dream vacation.
Then I will donate a certain amount of my money to my favorite charity. I know a charity which I have been helping (in my own little ways) for some time now and they help sick and homeless children. And I will donate a big amount of the money I won for them so they can help more sick & homeless children.

That sounds like a really great plan. I'm glad you donate to a charity, my parents and I do, too. Mostly to St. Jude.
Thanks for replying!

If I have so much money I will have a sizeable and well developed farm with reliable farmhands around, have a comfortable house both in the farm and a city I'd love to spend some time when I have to be in the hubbub of society, a well functioning and reliable car, provide for my love ones and our church, and spend vacations with my love ones which will energize my love for life.

A farm with plenty of horses I hope! Because a farm isn't a farm without some horses. :-)

I'd pay off my debts, put money away for my retirement, help out my parents & inlaws from all the help they've given us. I'd like to fix up our house and maybe put an addition on, get a new car that I don't have to worry about, let my DH quit working his 2nd job, and put some money away for the kids futures (but not tell them!) The rest I'd probably invest so that we didn't have to worry about money again. It's too stressful.

Sounds like a good plan to me. And, yes, you are right, worrying about money is too stressful. I've seen it turn really nice and happy people into depressed people.

Let's see...pay off our house and van. Not sure if we'd move or not, we'd have to think long and hard about that one. Put enough away for my daughter's college education (and those of any future children as well.) Give as much to my parents and in-laws as they'd accept. Donate large amounts to the American Cancer Society and March of Dimes. And then, we'd go to DisneyWorld. :)

Disney World! The best idea, yet. I have always wanted to go to Disney World, but I guess I'll have to wait and take my own kids! LoL

well, if i were to win a large sum of money, say, 1 million dollars, i will put aside half of it for my studies; one fourth of it for a little business like an internet cafe whch i've always wanted and the other one fourth for my living and personal needs while i am studying......

I'm gladyou would continue to pursue your studies, instead of just living on the money, as I would be tempted to do. :-) I have also always wanted an internet cafe, but I also wanted it to have a little book nook, too, and maybe poetry readings, and open mic night. Sorry, I got a little of topic. :-)

Clothes, shoes, a new computer, and a ticket to the USA, huh? What about a house, and a car, and... and... I'm just kidding. I sounds like a good plan to me! Maybe you will be able to that some day.

First and foremost, I'd buy a house and lot for my parents and send my younger siblings to school. Then I'd pay the whole amount of the house we are currently paying on installment. Then I'd have a business.

All very good things to invest in. I bet your parents and siblings would really be happy if you could do that. I know mine would be!
