What is it with guys and tampons????

I was busy cleaning out the house earlier today and I forgot that I needed some supplies, and when my husband said he was going to stop at the supermarket to get the groceries to make dinner, he asked if I needed anything and I just said I needed some tampons normally and he just totally freaked out and told me that I gotta go and get them and I was like what? Then I told him to find my purse thats under the pile of clothes in another room and he was like "I mean I'll pay for it, but you gotta come with me!". I just don't get guys sometimes.. What do you think?

That's kind of funny. My husband isn't like that at all. He always buys tampons and pregnancy tests and stuff for me and has never made a big deal out of it. One time when he was at Walmart, I guess these high school girls were laughing at him when he was trying to remember which kind I wanted. He looked at them and said "Well, hopefully if you get married your husband is secure and loves you enough for him to do this for you" or something like that. Anyway, it shut them up fast. I don't really understand what the big deal is. No one is going to mistakenly think that the guy is the one that is going to use them.

i don't find this think as a funny thing if it's happen to me. I definitely will feel hurt knowing that my husband don't want to help me with this matter. I know most guy they don't want others girl seeing them buying a tampons. They think it's not macho for them i guess...for me if your husband really accept what he have now then there is nothing to be shy with this tampons matter.

Hehe. I can understand them being overwhelmed by all the different choices though. Hell! even i get confused on what is what. Ive never experianced a guy worrying over getting them. My ex used to get them me all the time, and just to make it clear for him i should him the box so he didn't have to get confused on what to buy... plus then he has no excuse ;)
I guess it can be a very girly thing for a guy to have to buy, and boys grow up laughing and freeking out about tampons, well, the ones i new when i was 13/14 so i guess it sometimes gets built in to be freeky about them :)

Can you blame a guy for that for several reason there are so many types, brands, applicator type, light days and heavy day type etc OMG could go and then there are the panty liners. There is like a whloe asile in the store for them.
I used to get them for Ex but she had to be very specific and not say a word if i got it wrong.
