Where has the good tag team wrestling gone?

I've been following the professional wrestling scene since I was a kid and I've noticed that there aren't good tag teams lately. Sure you've got Paul London and Brian Kendrick as the high flying tag champs of Smackdown, and I couldn't understand the combination of John Cena and Shawn Michaels, but personally, they're still far from the greats: The Islanders, Windham and Rotundo, The British Bulldogs, the Killer Bees and Demolition. I wonder where good tag team wrestling has gone?

One reason for this is because the WWE is focussing more and more on individual wrestlers and they don't have much tag teams and some are just a mockery of the fine art of tag team wrestling. But the thing is that pretty much every tag team will have to seperate someday no matter how good they are, and sometimes it sturs up some controversy. But it would be great if there were more tag teams cause it would be more exciting but for now, WWE is concentrating on individual wrestlers.

I certainly agree. Most tag teams nowadays are just a temporary combination of talent. Unlike before, tag team wrestling was taken pretty seriously. Maybe another problem here is the fitting of the story lines. Take the Highlanders for instance. I know they are pretty good and very talented as a unit but they don't have a good angle right now.

Well now Smackdown has Deuce, Domino & Cherry for tag teamers who'll probably manage to get to be tag team champs

I just saw them once in action and I heard that Kendrick and London has been putting them over for a number of times. Maybe that would be a start for good things...

I love watching tag team wrestling. I do wish to see more matches and better tag teams. Right now I think they are a few of them. But the rest are jokes in my opinion.
I always liked the Hart Foundation as a tag team.
As for John Cena and Shawn Michaels, if they were to busy trying to get one over on the other. They would make an awesome tag team. But right now the angle with John is all about getting the champion belt away from him.

Perhaps DX is now the best tag team in the wrestling arena. But I don't like the rise of DX now. Because they have no true opponent. How long can they annoy the McMohans? The Undertaker and Kane are also a good tag team. But the problem is the same. Who will be the true competitor against them?
I don't like the cruiserweight tag teams because though they are high flying, they are not equal to Rey Mysterio. What Mysterio does, they cannot do. This is why they cannot amuse me anymore.

I believe one of the greatest Tag Teams of all is the Brother of Destruction and I do agree, there should be more covereage of Tag Teams matches and title matches. Tag teams are great to watch especially if that team contains your favourite wrestlers or wrestler... like Kane and The Undertaker.

They are a remarkable duo. Like I remember the Natural Distasters (Earthquake and Typhoon). How in the world will you overcome such a lethal combination??

you are right...now tag team has lost its significance...and specially because in most of the latest tag teams partners tend to betray each other ...either for ambition or for others mistake......
