This was scary!

We were sitting here yesterday just relaxing and all of a sudden I noticed something out of the corner of my eye and looked and there must have been 10 deer in our yard and just standing there right up by our house and nosing around in the yard!! My hubby was like "hey get the gun" but we didn't we just sat and watched them for about an hour . A real loud truck went by and they scattered. It was kind of cool how they just came right up to the house and were just relaxing.

I think you guys are lucky that you get to see deers so close to your home.I'd have loved that for sure.Yep, it could be scary if they start bunching around my home as if they are going to have a deer meeting about what my family did wrong and whether to ostracize us,lol.

Yeah that is what my son said . he said it looked like they were having a meeting and trying to figure out how to get us or hunt us. Deer kind of scare me. I have seen too many scary movies that invlolved deer so when I see a bunch together I get kind of freaked out.

Okay now I understand.I always thought them to be cute animals ,just like the rabbits.I just hope they aren't as vengeful as humans sometimes are.

We love the deer. So graceful and delicate. You must have a wonderful place that they were comfortable to be moving through. We have them since we have the woods and large property. We see them especially in the fall grazing out near the woods. Great to see them all together.
I would have been angry about those stupid trucks that have to be so loud.

we do not allow hunting on our property and I think the deeriknow it because they are always on our land,but they had never got right up to our house before. But i think they must at night because sometimes out dogs will start barking and we can never figure out what it is that they are barking at, now we think it might be deer.

Oh how lovely they must have been. There must be an abundance of deer in your area for them to be that close ...I guess they were looking for food or water? Our home is near a river and deer often come down the mountain and stand in field beside our home on their way to the river. They are so pretty...especially the little ones!
