The myLot chtroom

I had no idea that this was even available. I can see why it would not be popular though, with people that want to earn money from posting, becoming chat buddies or real online friends is not a priority. I on the other hand use two other IM services (yahoo & myspace) and chat with people online all the time and it never earns me a cent. If you have either service and want to add me just send me a message here on mylot. I would be happy to chat with other people on a site like that, but if no one else is there I can't see it being worth my time.

Sorry Thomas I don't care too much for chat rooms. Even with IM I'm alway getting interrupted by phones, people, dogs wanting in and out, etc.

I've used it a few times, usually after 7pm GMT, but last few times I was there, no one else was. Problem with chatting in the Chatroom is that it slows down amount of time for starting discussions or responding, I guess most people are just two busy trying to earn their 2cents a time. My time is quite often limited on MyLot, or use MyLot 10-20 minutes at a time, so don't always have a lot of spare time for chatting.

I don't know... never heard of it. But as a rule... I hate chat rooms. Chat rooms are for people who have nothing to say... except talk about the weather and what colour outfit they are wearing today. myLot is the opposite of that. It wants quality questions with quality answers. And not surprisingly... those are hard to come by. 75,000 members... but only 6500 members with over 100 posts. Not a surprise to me. It has been the same story on every forum I have been for the past 7 years.

I actually havent heard of this. Is it ay good? Do mylotians actually go there. Im yet to try it but only after i finished my posting goals for the day.:)

Wow, that's pretty cool! Just checked it out .I have to register my name for it to show up there.I want to try it ,but I don't want another addiction at the moment when I am having a little difficulty handling this one,lol.Hey,Thanks Thomas!Hopefully, they will make it more attractive for more Myloters to join in.

Hey there old pal! I just decided to give it another try. Everytime I logged in there was nobody there. I also found something left in that chat that bothered me and decided to stop. Someone used another members name and said that I made them mad (over what I don't know) and they were going to give me negative ratings for all of my articles. Sorry if I offended anyone. I never intend to offend anyone. OH well.

I had no idea, thanks for the info. Just what I need... another thing to distract me from work! Too bad I don't still have my old company job, I could get paid for using Mylot.

Since Mylot does not have an official chatroom an unofficial one is a good one - however it needs to be publicised well and then more people will get onto it together. Time Zones are another issue. Maybe we could have a chat party this weekend!

I lost interest in it a long time ago. Just not very popular I suppose. I had mentioned it on a few sites I go to, but it never got past the "I'll check it out" stage.

I go there from time to time but had given up on anyone else ever being there. Do you think it would be okay to start more discussions about it? I would if people would go there. I am on now and just met a nice guy there. i will try to remember to leave it on so I will hear the ding saying someone else is there. Hope to chat to you soon!!=o}

hey this is a great idea so mylotters can keep in touch without having to send pm's and check email all the time. its a good idea but hopefully its a reliable system that wont crash. what sort of coding does it use? maybe some people will need activex plugin to get access to the chatroom. if it uses anything like that i must already have the nessecary things to make it work.

Jut found out about this tonight, so decided to give it a shot, I'm in there now and there are a few others, not very busy but hey the more people that see it the more chance there is of them popping in.

Heh, I used to visit it fairly frequently when Biddy (I think she was the first person to discover Gabbly) first made it..I was there like a day after it was posted. And a few days afterward..but it was a bit quiet..so my intrest drifted. Things have gotten a bit busier life-wise so I haven't dropped in very often since..I probably should the next time I get a free moment, heh..last I checked a whole bunch of people were talking in there while I was sleeping one night..so maybe it has picked up. I don't personally know. I hope it has.
