DONT tell me Mylot! I meant the soothing sensation you get from indulging your favorite pastime by yourself with no interuptions for awhile. Everyone should have a hobby and do it a minimum of twice a week for an hour or more. It could be reading, gardening, walking, jogging, going to the gym, volunterring your time, etc.
Write about it and describe what you get out of it.

I have a rather unusual hobby that I enjoy very much. I am a live action role player, a little like the dungeons and dragons type computer games but we dress in costume and act as our characters. There is something very satisfying about spending weekends with a load of other *mad* people, acting as a fictional character and interacting with others.

Would you believe thats how my husband and I met? A local gaming store sponsored a LARP session 3x a week. I joined the Vampire trilogy and met my future husband who was the artist who made the props. We had a blast sneaking around the local parks playing our parts. "Mad"??? Not us!!! (LOL) MuhahahahaHA!

I used to cross stitched. Before, it took me several hours in a day. I finished 4 portraits but I don't have time to do it now. What I can only do now in my spare time is watching tv.

I've had so many hobbies over the years I couldn't list them all. I've done so many crafts but then you get tired of doing them and move onto the next idea.
Right now I do a lot of crocheting and that gives me a sense of accomplishment when I see a pretty little dress or sweater set done.
It's relaxing, too, just to sit in front of the T.V. and working on a project.
And then I'm trying to learn to do the reborn dolls, but somehow I'm not finding that so relaxing.

I like to play and watch football (ok, Americans call it soccer).
I like reading on topics such as marketing, astronomy, military history, politics...
I love travelling and watching movies....
Listening to classical music and meditation are also ways I relax

I like to read a good book.I usually read Ted Dekker books,Frank Peretti books and Love Inspired books because they dont have the steamy love scenes in them like Harlequin does and a couple of other books.I feel reading relaxes me.I like to draw and paint as well but I have no time for it right now becasue my kids seem to want me for everything when I start something I want to do.LOL.But I would like to start doing it again. It seems you get enthralled in the stuff you paint and draw.I always like art class becuase I got to paint and draw and I would sing as I painted or drew and It relaxed me.I also like to play a game site that I recently got addicted to.And it gives gift cards after so many points that you accumualte for that particular gift card.
