I have lived in Florida for the past three years. Before this; I would come down periodically to visit relatives. Over the years it has come to my attention that You get in the system no matter what the govenment try's to keep you in as long as it necessary takes. I have also come across alot of vacancies with apartment rentals due to certain standards. I you don't meet up with any of these requirements; you either have to go and live in an over priced motel, stay in a shelter or be homeless.

I've lived in Florida since 1972, and certainly there are many things about this state I'm uncomfortable with...One is NOT the weather however... With no offense to you at all, I probably "get it" better since I've seen the evolution of this state over 30 plus years. Aside from the fact that I personally dislike tourism, and the fact that Florida gets "extended" beyond reasonable limits during peak travel seasons, I also dislike those who come here, find a place to live, then only stay 6 months of the year. Actually in saying that I'd probably prefer that they stay home. Without knowing the details of your ISSUE, or the specifics of the "requirements" you mention,,,In case you haven't noticed, some apartment complexes look like third world countries, hence leading me to believe "Standards" isn't a word in their Websters. Again, no offense, but I'm gonna assume you're kinda thinking "some kind of prejudice." The COST factor to visit Florida, or live here, isn't the fault of any apartment complex. It's a Nationwide CANCER! Everyone on the planet charges whatever the market will bear for whatever service or product they happen to want to market. Florida is no different than other locations; attractive for whatever reasons.IN FACT,,,Florida still ranks near the bottom in a general sense, with cost of living. The sad part of that is Florida also ranks near the bottom in pay versus effort. One more, and still with no offense meant. In 30 years the population grew as rapidly as did the Dollars WDW brings in, but I saw many of that increase come in on boxcars, and with backpacks, and now pushing stolen grocery carts around. We wouldn't have a "homeless" problem if they'd all relocate. I've been there done that by the way; I know what I'm talikng about. WHY DOES ANYONE come to Florida? I'll give you a great example. Saturday, over on the East Coast, the Temp in Melbourne was 92. Not bad for 3/3 eh? Finally if you feel your being mistreated in any way, here is likely not the first place to come seeking advice or help. I suspect like many of us you have no faith in the governing establishment, and that's quite valid. If you feel any level of "discrimination" however, you should likely attempt to do something about it. BTW,,, recent historical statistics show that people are actually MOVIONG OUT of Florida.

Thank your for your response. You hit the nail on the head with everything that had to be said. As far as leaving Florida. My husband and I are in the process of doing so. We hope to be relocating very soon to Israel. I'm sure Israel has many more problems then Florida for that matter.

MORE is relative but certainly that area OF THE GLOBE MAY BE MORE VOLITILE. I suspect WE as a species can find "niches" that allow us even MOMENTS of joy, and contentment. I wish you all good
