How easy is it to break an elbow?

How easy is it for a person to break or damage their elbow? Also how would you know if you damage or break your elbow? And would break an elbow be the same thing as breaking an arm?

I have no clue. But considering when you bang your elbow how painful it is, I am sure breaking it is horrible.
