I have fibrimyalgia and suffer extreme pain.I take hydrocodone every day and hate it.I've been told that pot would be so much better for me but since it's illegal I won't try it.It is legal in some states but only for aids, cancer etc.If they can use it why can't people that have cronic pain.I know my pain meds are harming my body but can not stand the pain so I always resort to using them.
Does anyone know anything about pot being used for pain?

Believe me I have thought about it myself. I have heard of how great it can be for chronic pain. The problem comes in I wouldn't have the first clue on where to buy it and with my luck I'd get caught when I did try to. I have heard of a legal plant called Salvia that is supposed to help but again I have no idea where to buy it except on line and I'm leery of doing that. Right now though I think if they told me standing on my head would stop the pain I'd try it :)

hi, i was reading your topic and decided to respond. my mother has fibromy and she smokes as often as she can. she says it helps with pain and helps her to sleep, plus she says she likes it much better then vicodin or soma.
but your right, in some states it is illegal. try to look up online if it is in your state. if it is legal for medical use then look up a clinic near you for holistic medicine and book and apt. you can get pot perscribed from them. good luck!
